Our Health & Safety
Our employees spend a significant number of their waking hours at work. This underscores the importance for companies to create workplaces that are safe and promote health. Our Thetford Manufacturing and Northampton Warehouse and Distribution sites are both certified to the OHSAS 18001 standard for Health & Safety Management. OHSAS 18001 is an international standard whereby a company can have its health and safety work certified by independent experts. This excellent achievement is based upon the wide adoption of best safety practices, and practicing behavioural based safety, and in addition to our robust systems for identifying hazards across our operations, and managing the risks associated with them, and seeking compliance with all legislative requirements.
Employee WellnessAs a healthcare company Baxter has a special interest in promoting wellness amongst our staff, and carries out regular health promotion events, including voluntary employee screening for issues such as heart disease with advice on diet and exercise provided if required, as part of our BeWell@Baxter programme.
