Global Healthcare Exchange is a neutral trading exchange through which hospitals can purchase both medical and non-medical products from a range of suppliers. It is a privately held company that was founded in March 2000 , Equity owners include J & J, GE Medical, Baxter International Inc, Abbott Laboratories, Medtronic, B Braun and many others.
GHX manages the creation of a Master Catalogue and facilitates the placement of orders from that catalogue to multiple suppliers, giving the customers the advantage of ease, speed and accuracy when placing orders.

Baxter are able to send and receive a variety of EDI messages including receiving customer purchase orders, send customers purchase order acknowledgements, dispatch advice and invoices. |

Baxter has developed a web tool for Customers to help manage their Baxter account . It is fast friendly and intuitive to use allowing access to on-line personal account for order status information, a catalogue of the Baxter product range, a list of frequently ordered items with details of individual pricing and an additional option of on-line ordering. This service is free to all established account customers but requires an ID and password for access on line. |
